Yamaha YBR125E Fuel Tank Mounting Rubbers
Aftermarket replacement tank-locating rubbers for Yamaha YBR125E applications documented with the same 4FP-F4181-00, 5VL-F4183-00 and 5VL-F4182-00 damper family from early YBR125 production through later-market models.
What These Rubbers Do
The fuel tank is not intended to sit directly against the motorcycle frame. These rubber locating dampers support and locate the tank while helping isolate engine and road vibration, reducing rattles and limiting metal-to-metal contact. Old mounts can harden, split, flatten, go missing during servicing or allow the tank to move more than intended.
OEM Comparison References
The Yamaha fuel-tank diagrams used for this fitment audit specify the following locating dampers:
- 4FP-F4181-00 - Damper, Locating 1 - Yamaha specifies 2 per tank on the supported YBR125 applications
- 5VL-F4183-00 - Damper, Locating 3 - Yamaha specifies 1
- 5VL-F4182-00 - Damper, Locating 2 - Yamaha specifies 1
These Yamaha numbers are supplied only as fitment / search references. This listing is for aftermarket replacement rubber components and is not represented as Genuine Yamaha.
Important Package-Contents Note
The OEM mounting arrangement uses four rubber pieces in total (2 + 1 + 1). Use the listing photographs as the final guide to the exact number and shapes supplied with SKU 02266-BWF. Washers, bolts, fuel tank, fuel tap and other hardware are not included unless they are visibly shown with the stock.
Symptoms of Worn or Missing Tank Mounts
- Fuel tank movement or looseness when the bike is stationary
- Buzzing, rattling or vibration from the tank area
- Perished, cracked, flattened or missing rubber supports
- Metal-to-metal contact marks around tank mounting points
- Poor tank seating after removal for maintenance
Installation Guidance
- Work with the motorcycle stable and the engine cold.
- Follow Yamaha's fuel-tank removal procedure and take suitable precautions around petrol.
- Compare every new rubber with the old mounting position before refitting the tank.
- Make sure the tank sits fully on its locating rubbers and does not trap hoses or wiring.
- Reconnect fuel lines / tap components correctly and check carefully for leaks before riding.
- After installation, confirm the tank is secure and cannot contact the frame where it should be rubber isolated.
Fitment Warning
Yamaha produced several YBR / YB variants that look similar but do not all use the same complete tank-rubber set. Match the model code where possible and compare the original rubber shapes. In particular, some YB125 / Custom-style applications use a different locating-3 damper even though the two 4FP-F4181-00 front locating dampers may be shared.
Confirmed Application
- Yamaha YBR125 / YBR125E - documented 2004 application
- Yamaha YBR125E - documented 2006, 2008, 2011-2014 applications
- Yamaha YBR125E - documented 2018-2023 applications
- Use only where the original tank diagram specifies 4FP-F4181-00 x2, 5VL-F4183-00 x1 and 5VL-F4182-00 x1
Fitment note: This title expresses the documented application span, not a claim that every global-market YBR125E was sold in every intervening year. Match the three OEM damper references or original rubber shapes before ordering.
