What the Regulator / Rectifier Does
The regulator/rectifier converts the alternator's AC output to DC for the motorcycle or ATV electrical system and controls charging voltage to the battery. A failed unit can contribute to a flat or overcharged battery, unstable charging voltage, blown bulbs, difficult starting or heat-damaged charging connectors.
