- Inspect the tyre and rim for sharp objects, corrosion, damaged rim tape or other causes of the previous puncture.
- Inflate the new tube slightly before installation so it sits without twists or folds, and avoid pinching it with tyre levers.
- Inflate to the pressure specified by the vehicle/tyre manufacturer; the tube itself does not set the correct operating pressure.
