Typical Applications

This listing is targeted at the following model families. Fitment can vary by production year, engine code and market:

  • Gilera Runner VX 125 selected 4-stroke Leader applications
  • Gilera Runner VXR 180 selected Leader-engine applications
  • Gilera Runner 125 / 180 variants where OE 82611R / 82611R5 is specified
  • Gilera DNA 125 selected applications using the same Piaggio Group starter family
  • Gilera DNA 180 selected applications using the same Piaggio Group starter family

Important Compatibility Check

Piaggio Group used more than one starter motor across similarly named models. Before ordering, compare the OE number and the original motor against the photographs. Check the 9-tooth pinion, mounting flange, bolt-hole spacing, body length and electrical terminal position. Matching the original OE/reference number is the safest method of confirming fitment.

Replacement Advice

Slow cranking or a non-operating starter can also be caused by a weak battery, poor earth connection, damaged wiring, a faulty starter relay/solenoid or a problem in the starter-drive mechanism. Check the starting circuit before replacing the motor.
