Fitment Information

JT Sprockets lists the Yamaha YBR125 2005–2006 with standard 14T front / 45T rear / 428 gearing. Yamaha parts catalogues also show the 93822-14043 front sprocket and 5VL-F5445-01 rear sprocket on early YBR125 variants.

Later YBR125 versions can still use 14T / 45T / 428 gearing, but Yamaha and aftermarket catalogues show a different front-sprocket/retainer pattern on some later-market bikes. Compare the front sprocket, spline and retaining-plate arrangement before ordering.

Important: YBR125 Custom

The YBR125 Custom 2008–2014 uses 428 pitch and a 14T front sprocket, but JT lists its standard rear sprocket as 43T. A 45T rear changes the final-drive ratio, so this set should not be described as the standard YBR125 Custom replacement unless the buyer specifically wants that gearing change and confirms the front sprocket fitment.

When to Replace Sprockets

Replace sprockets when the teeth become hooked, pointed, unevenly worn or damaged. For best drivetrain life, inspect the chain at the same time. A heavily worn chain can quickly damage new sprockets, while badly worn sprockets can accelerate wear on a replacement chain.

Before Ordering

  • Confirm your existing chain is 428 pitch.
  • Count the teeth on the sprockets currently fitted: 14T front and 45T rear.
  • Compare the front-sprocket spline, retaining-plate bolt spacing and thickness with your original part.
  • Compare the rear-sprocket centre bore and four mounting-hole pattern with the existing sprocket.
  • Check the Yamaha OE numbers where available, especially on imported or non-UK-market YBR125 models.
