Before Use
Measure the bearing bore and confirm the jaws can engage securely behind the inner race or bush. Make sure both support legs sit squarely on a strong, flat surface around the bearing. The tool must remain centred while load is applied.
Use Guidance
- Clean the bearing area and expose enough of the inner race for the three jaws to engage.
- Insert and spread the jaws evenly behind the bearing or bush.
- Position the two support legs squarely on the surrounding housing.
- Centre the forcing spindle and tighten progressively by hand tool.
- Stop if a jaw begins to slip, twist or load unevenly; reposition before continuing.
Do not use an impact gun. Do not exceed the tool's mechanical limits or use it where the jaws cannot obtain a positive grip. Wear eye protection and keep hands clear of the puller while it is under load.
