Important Engine-Size Note

These engines are widely marketed by manufacturers and sellers as “100cc” bicycle-engine kits. Comparable kits commonly use a 50 mm bore and 40 mm stroke, which calculates to approximately 78.5cc swept displacement. Because the exact bore and stroke of this stocked engine have not been physically verified, this listing retains the recognised 100cc market description without claiming an exact measured displacement.

Bicycle Fitment

Suitable for many 26in and 28in bicycles with a conventional V / diamond-style frame, including compatible mountain, road, commuter, cruiser and gravel-style bicycles.

  • The bicycle must have enough open space inside the main frame triangle for the engine, carburettor and exhaust.
  • Comparable kits commonly require roughly 9–11in (23–28cm) of vertical engine clearance and frame tubes around 25–29mm diameter at the standard mounts.
  • Rear-wheel spoke pattern and hub area must accept the supplied drive-sprocket mounting system.
  • Check pedal/crank clearance, chain alignment, exhaust clearance, fuel-tank mounting area and braking condition before installation.
  • This is not a universal bolt-on kit for every 26in or 28in bicycle.

Kit Contents

Complete kits of this type normally include the engine, carburettor, CDI/ignition components, fuel tank, exhaust, throttle controls, clutch lever/cable, drive chain, rear sprocket, chain tensioner/guide, chain guard and mounting hardware.

Please use the product photographs and supplied package as the final contents reference. Exact sprocket size, fuel-tank capacity, carburettor type and individual accessories can vary between otherwise similar 100cc-class kits.

Installation & Safety

Mechanical experience is strongly recommended. The bicycle frame, wheels, tyres and brakes must be in sound condition and suitable for the additional speed, vibration and load created by an engine conversion. Re-check engine mounts, drive-chain alignment, sprocket fasteners and controls after the first heat cycles and regularly thereafter.

UK Road-Use Notice

A petrol-powered bicycle conversion does not qualify as an electrically assisted pedal cycle (EAPC). If used on public roads in Great Britain, the finished vehicle may need to meet motorcycle/moped registration, approval, insurance, licensing, taxation and roadworthiness requirements. Check current DVLA/DVSA rules before using a converted bicycle on public roads.
